As runners, we have been attending various Marathons across India and outside India. We realized that there are no serious Marathons for KIDS anywhere. So with this thought in mind, in 2015 we decided to come up with a Marathon for Kids and we named it - Simple Steps Marathon.

Everything is difficult and everything is easy & its all about doing it. Start your step towards finish line and achieve the target.

Our first event at Pune in 2015 got a good response with 400 participants across age groups from 2 years to 15 years and a maximum distance of 7 km. The highlight of the event was 100 meters race wherein the age group was just 2 years complete to 4 years complete.

It was a growth story after that with number of participating kids growing each year from 2016 to 2019. Our latest events on 10th November, 2019 at Pune witnessed over 2000 participants whereas 400+ kids participated in our second edition at Nashik on 16 February 2020.

" WHAT DO THEY SAY ABOUT US "

  • Kids marathon itself was a good idea. It was really fun running with friends and there was not only running but there were shows of football freestyle and cycling stunts. It was altogether awesome.

  • Your kid will excel in the area which is exposed to him or her at earlier stage of life. As the saying goes, as you sow so you reap. You make the avenues available to them and they will take the full benefit of it. Marathon or long distance running is one of such area where parents can introduce their kids to. Running is very natural to human being and is considered one of the most beneficial sports in terms of physical and mental health of a child. Kids marathon believes in same philosophy and it tries to create one such avenue for kids where they can participate in distance running and can perform competitively with respect to the age groups. Kids marathon is a wonderful attempt capture the imagination of a growing child and will surely help to produce better athletes and human beings of future.

  • Society is definitely changing for the better. At least, a large group is. Many people are running long distances, Cycling, Trekking and Mountaineering and many other sports. The change is visible. Ten years ago a parent who ran the marathon would have been a lonely individual. Now she or he is a part of a large crowd! Yes there are many "She"s who are running long distances regularly. The fitness of the younger generation of parents is very visible. They are healthier and they look fitter. And look better !! For the school there is another benefit. Parents are recovering their position as heroes for their children. Children are emulating their parents and don't need to look outside. Their Role-Models are very close to them. That's a wonderful side-effect! Cheers to all the marathoners – Full, half or quarter marathons. Your sincerity and sense of purpose is infectious. May your "virus" spread and spread and spread...

  • I ran a Marathon. It is an event to run in a group or with friends. I ran on the road. I had a lot of fun. The kids were running very fast their were different groups. I ran in 8 yrs group in 3 kms. I had a lot of fun. There was music, dance, and exercise taken. While running they gave us water to drink. I walked and ran. I finished, the race. After running they gave us snaks. The showed us cycle tricks. I saw kids running. I got certificate and medal. We enjoyed on sunday a Marathon Run.
